Some jobs are straightforward. This one was not. The mainline water leak on this job was buried beneath a front porch - not exactly the easiest spot to access. That's the thing about water main leaks though. They don't care about convenience. They hide in tight spaces and keep doing damage until someone digs in and finds them.
That's exactly what Alex did here. He tracked down the source of the leak, dug down to reach it, and did what needed to be done to get in there and make the repair - even if that meant working in a pretty cramped, awkward space. The leak itself was at a fitting connection on the blue mainline pipe, and you can see the moisture damage it had already caused on the concrete foundation wall inside. Left alone, that kind of ongoing water intrusion leads to mold, structural issues, and a much bigger repair bill down the road.
Leak detection is the part of this work most people don't think about until they have a problem. A slow mainline leak can go unnoticed for a long time - sometimes showing up as a higher water bill, a damp spot in the yard, or moisture creeping into the basement. Catching it early and knowing exactly where to dig makes all the difference.
We're proud of the feedback we get from homeowners who trust us with the hard jobs. Anita's review says it better than we could - 'He worked tirelessly and with the best attitude, even when pretty much hanging upside down in the hole he had to dig under our front porch.' That's what this work actually looks like sometimes. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
No job is too awkward, too tight, or too buried for us to handle. If you've got a water main issue - or you just suspect something isn't right with your plumbing - we'll find it and fix it the right way.
